Homemade BBQ Sauce

With great meals comes great responsibility.

I am so excited for the fall weather we are having because it ushers in some of my favorite meals, like slow cooker pulled pork, which also gets me to thinking about good BBQ sauce.
As you may know, not all barbecue sauces are created equally.

I tried out this recipe for homemade BBQ sauce that yielded the perfect tangy, sweet and spicy sauce that I crave on these autumnal days.
Give it a try!
Homemade BBQ Sauce |
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 c ketchup
1/4 c tomato sauce
1/3 c brown sugar
3 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp red pepper flakes

Here’s what you’ll do:
1. Combine the ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
2. Lower the heat till the mixture is at a steady simmer and leave for 10 minutes.
3. Use sauce in all your favorite recipes!
